The TVS-EC1080 is a better option than TVS-871T for processing, as it is cheaper , and supports RAID10.
TVS-871T with RAID6 is a good archive option.

The benchmarks below show that without other operations underway, the NAS has a simialr performance to a decidated server (Xeon with 3TB drives, ~5 years old). However, when doing simultaneous read/writes, performance dropped dramatically. This may be RAID6 issues.
