- EDA stands for Electrodermal Activity whereas SCR stands for Skin Conductance Response
- From the AcqKnowledge home screen select: Open a graph file, Graph file on Disk, and click OK
- This will allow you to access files directly from the UT: Drive
- This will allow you to access files directly from the UT: Drive
- Minimize all other channels except the Channel 10 that which corresponds to EDA by clicking on the triangle icon on the left hand slide of the channel number.
- Autoscale waveform horizontally using the autoscale feature on the toolbar
- Access the EDAPreference Preferences menu by going to Analysis→ Electrodermal Activity→ Preferences ... & enter the following settings:
- Click OK
- *Note: we can choose to Reject SCRs under 0% of max (Review Analysis Menu)
- Add a Dual Row x 3 to toolbar by clicking on the Pre-Set menu icon (triangle facing down)
-
...
- Change Min, Max, & Mean values to None
- Go to Analysis →
Electrodermal Activity → and select "Derive Phasic EDA from Tonic" from the menu options.- Scroll down and select Channel 10 to indicate the correct EDA (SCL) signal
- The Tonic EDA signal (Channel 10) is now accompanied by a Phasic signal (blue) providing precise information on time-based changes in EDA
- Go to Analysis→
Electrodermal Activity→ and select "Locate SCRs" from the menu - From the Locate SCRs menu, select Channel 10 as the Tonic EDA channel and select the Phasic EDA channel (Channel 7 in this example) under the Use Channel Option
- SCRs are now displayed on the Tonic Channel
- Using the magnifying glass tool, zoom into a small region of the EDA channel.
- Using your cursor, click on the a small region in the waveform and drag. A blue selection box will appear, indicating that your are expanding/zooming into this specific region.
- Open- brackets indicate: SCR onset
- Water-droplet indicate: Peak SCR response
- Closed bracket: SCR offset/ end of SCR
- Blue Droplet: an SCR that is significant from its background but not tied to a specific stimulus; referred to as a Non-specific-SCR (NS-SCR)
- Red Droplet: Event-Related SCR
- Determine measurements you'd like to capture: Mean Amplitude of Events (Evt ampl), number of Events, Event-Related EDA analysis
