International students interested in working or interning with us during the summer need to complete the paperwork found at the UCLA Vice Chancellor for Research website (see here)
Paul will need to work with Dr. Tama Hasson (thasson@college.ucla.edu) at the Center for Undergraduate Research to complete the remaining process.
One the paperwork is completed Dr. Hasson will forward a copy to Raisha Pacella (rpacella@uclaextension.edu) and she will check in with Paul when the student arrives*. The student will then be enrolled/recorded in an 800-level research course through UCLA Extension.
*If the student is a part of BSMP program she/he will need to complete paperwork with IIE (program sponsor) and forward the documents to Raisha once they have been approved.The student should contact IIE for this information.
Please note that UCLA housing is not available to summer-only students. Raisha has provided us the attached document to assist our visiting student with potential housing options in the area. any arrangements must be made between the student and provider directly.
*** Students on J-1 Visa are not allowed to work in a clinical setting directly with patients as their Visa does not allow them to do this. This checkbox should be selected as NO in the application.
