  1. From the AcqKnowledge home screen select: Open a graph file, Graph file on Disk, and click OK
    1. This will allow you to access files directly from the U: Drive


  2. Minimize all channels except Channels 5 & 9 that correspond to CNAP Blood Pressure & ECG respectively, by clicking on the triangle icon on the left hand slide of the channel number.  

  3. Using the magnifying glass tool, zoom into a small region of the CNAP Blood Pressure channel.
    1. Using your cursor, click on the a small region in the waveform and drag. A blue selection box will appear, indicating that your are expanding/zooming into this specific region.


    2. Your goal is to expand the channel waveform so that all systoles are visible.


  4. Go to AnalysisHemodynamics and select "Arterial Blood Pressure" from the options menu


  5. From the Arterial Blood Pressure preferences window enter the following settings & select OK
    1. Note: Recovery % can be set to any number. 50% is the preferred Acq setting however 70% will be used in this example
    2. You can also select to Estimate Cardiac Output Analysis here as well or you can follow the steps listed below.


  6. Highlight a single systole in the BP data and select "Systole Is Selected"


  7. Acq will now perform the Arterial BP Analysis and populate results onto an excel spread sheet and it will display QRS intervals on ECG channel, dp/dt waveforms, & recovery % set to 70% on CNAP waveform.

  1. To Estimate Cardiac Output from ABP, Go to AnalysisHemodynamics and select "Estimate Cardiac Output" from the options menu


  2. From the Estimate CO from ABP preferences menu, enter the following settings:
    1. ABP channel: CH5, CNAP Blood Pressure
    2. Estimated initial cardia output: Select Avg male resting CO for MALE subjects & Avg resting CO for FEMALE subjects
    3. Analyze: Focus Areas Only
    4. Display Results as: Excel Spreadsheet Only  


  3. Estimated Cardiac Output results are populated to an excel spreadsheet.
