Initializing Acq & Creating Focus Areas

Initializing AcqKnowledge

1. Locate the Acq 5 dongle (Key 11 & 12) in first drawer of PD's desk. Insert dongle to an open USB port on the computer hard drive tower
   
   1. Note: The Dongle MUST BE inserted to the harddrive in order to access the program. Acq will ask you to insert the dongle if it is unable to locate it.
      
      
2. Access AcqKnowlege from PD desktop computer
   You will receive the message below indicating that Acq is unable to establish communications with any hardware. Select: Analyze Only
   
   
   
3. From the Acq home screen select: Open a graph file, Graph file on Disk, and clickOK
   1. This will allow you to access files directly from the T: Drive
   
   
   
4. From the Acq: Open window, scroll to the T: Drive and access the Subject's Acqknowledge Document under the Physiology Study Visit: Phys folder. Select Open
   
   
   
5. In a separate window, open the Subject's Physiology visit page on the Confluence: Study Lab book
6.  You are now ready to create Focus Areas

Creating Focus Areas

1. The first step to creating focus areas is changing the time scale from seconds to minutes. To do so follow these steps:
   
   1. Right click on the seconds scale to access the Acq: Set Screen Horizontal Axis window
   2. Change the time scale from 10.00000 seconds to 600.00000 seconds.
      
      1. This will convert the time scale from seconds to minutes
   3. Click OK
