Choose the largest space you have (3TB / 100 subjects is a rough guide). It is best to have a short path to this location, ideally a subfolder under the root folder of a drive (I use V:\).. Choose one folder for each project, for example:
V:\OSA2013project\
V:\IXIproject\
V:\OSApeds2015project\
It's best to choose another folder for the sets. This does not matter so much, and can be both project-specific or cross projects: For example:
V:\OSA2013sets\
V:\IXIsets\
or for a set with combined projects:
V:\OSA2013_IXIsets\
