High resolution zoomed-in images can be created either inCSPM with automatic over-sampling (or super-sampling) or manually.
- For the CSPM option, go to local settings.
- For the manual option, from the CSPM Image menu choose Reslice
- Enter the x/y/z voxel size (e.g., 0.3 0.3 0.3)
- Enter the bounding box, which is xmin ymin zmin; xmax ymax zmax (e.g., -50 -80 -60; 50 20 0)
- Linear interpolation usually works well
If you get blank spots, it may be because you have NaN's in the image; this only happens with an image of real/floating type (as opposed to integer). Yuo can check in mricron (see below).
To change the type (overwrites image!)
- Select from the CSPM Image menu "Change type"
- Select int16 (or int32 if you have a range of very precise values - unusual)
