  • USB "box" to stick in SATA hard drives like floppies (< $100)
  •  backup battery for RAID card in current server ~$120
  • large drive for my laptop ~$130
  • external USB drive cases 12 ~$500

On the possible side, if we need to spend more: CD/DVD writer for CD/DVD/s + ink supplies ~$500 30" screens (? not sure how much these are) might need graphics cards to run the screens another desktop ($2500) a powerful laptop for me (what I use at home) $3000 a better projector ($1500?) more hard drives (~$250/each) another Matlab license (~$1800 with 3 years support). another couple of Endnote licenses (~$200)
