I use a blue icicle to record from an XLR headset. There was a driver problem on one (not all) Windows 10 computers, which was fixed with this download (explanation here).

Error: ...XLR mic to a Blue Icicle USB Interface. It works perfectly with my other computer but when I try to move it to my desktop setup the "USB Audio Device" driver fails to install and throws a Code 10.

Monitors

Digital vs analog cable? Should not make much difference, but for LCD it will be at least as good (google monitor cable digital vs analog).

High-resolution is sometimes referred to as Extreme High Definition (XHD); do display dual monitors on high resolution, you'll need to make sure you have a video card that supports dual XHD (Nvidia examples)

Replace dead drive in 6.4 TB server

Turn off computer, replace with similar drive, restart
Run 3DM2 software, log on as Administrator (password = 3ware)
Management, Maintenance
Remove "DEGRADED" drive (the new one)
Rescan (button top-left); you should see the free drive at the bottom of the page
Select unit, click rebuild, select free drive (when asked)
Wait several hours...

Power Supplies

The main thing is to choose a good brand; I found a page on wikiHow. The other thing is to get a UPS with power conditioning (most UPS have power conditioning), as the UCLA power tends to kill power supplies.
