Import Data into a MATLAB Variable

Save the data in an Excel file; put the variable name at the top.

In MATLAB, click "Import Data" (under the HOME tab), and select the Excel file

Check the Import settings, and click the green tick above "Import Selection". (In the image below, the values for the timetrend are selected in light blue, and the bold "t" is name of the variable in which the values will be saved in MATLAB. "t" is taken from the column header).

Close the Import GUI. You should see a variable in the workspace.

You can check by plotting the variable, as with the command below (assuming the variable is called "t"):

>> figure, plot(t)
