Creating SPM-readable VOI files from multi-label file

Example: SPM12 comes with the neuromorphometrics atlas. This is a single file nifti with an associated xlm label file:

Uder the CSPM VOI menu, choose "Extract individual VOI from multi-label file"

Select "labels_Neuromorphometrics.nii"

This will create a subfolder "VOIindiv"...

...inside which are the individual VOI:

Change the name of the subfolder to reflect the Atlas:

You can now move this to where you like.
